He is another example of doing "what is right for the consumer". Reduced return times now, who knows what else in the future. I know how they have handled their pre-pay customers over the years has gone from fair to poor. The loss of the unlimited data per month several years back is another example of the squeeze-the-consumer mindset that rules at that company.

Its just like banking always looking to make money some way or another. Especially now that everyone has a smartphone and no one pays for text anymore or phone calls. Nothing is free and if it is today well it wont be for long.

The change to 14 days is not unique to at&t, it is unfortunately becoming the new standard with wireless carriers....as usual, at&t is merely following the trends here, not creating them.....

I always ascribed the changes Verizon made to their finally being allowed to sell the iphone. I am surprised that AT&T didn't already have a fourteen day return policy. Maybe good guy Sprint (according to Dan) still has a consumer friendly 30 day return policy? I'm really not sure.

Negative, Sprint's return policy is 14 days as well. I'm pretty sure they were actually the first of the major carriers to go to 14 days.

Nope, that went away before the iPhone 4S was announced for Sprint.

I understand the whole thing that "other carriers are doing it." However that doesn't mean AT&T has to be just as evil. It's so ridiculous that carriers can't differentiate themselves from the others. God forbid someone actually deliver a great product at a reasonable price. AT&T should offer a better return policy and lower prices in my area cause their service is sub-par at best.

Um...you shouldn't buy AT&T products and service if they are sub-par in your area.

duh.. I get so tired to people ragging on one company or another as if they were forced to use the service. A cell phone is not a necessity of life.

Why are you using ATT if they're 'sub-par at best' in your area?

Thanks for pointing that out- I now use Verizon. As a matter of fact, I just paid a $ 500.00 bill from AT&T to get out of my contract and switch to Verizon. If that doesn't tell you how bad my EDGE service was then I don't know what would.

If you didn't realize the service was poor in your area and waited after 30 days, that's on you..

Hence why service varies per state/city for every carrier, not just AT&T.
