One reason a lot of phone carriers are going non-removable is because no removable take up almost half as much space as the removable ones do so it makes for a thinner and phone with a sturdier it most case phone in general. And although there may be a number of us that wouldnt mind a thicker phone for a removable phone, MOST people would rather have a built in battery and a thinner phone. plus the more space you save on the plastic housing for a battery you save the bigger the battery you can fit into a phone. eg. the razr maxx has a pretty big battery that last a long time barley making the phone too much thicker... (its still an impressively thin phone)
