If the Lumia 920 and 820 were to be offered on a CDMA network they would no doubt just build a different version of the same device...

The Lumia 920 looks amazing, I am seriously considering buying it at the no commitment price just to try it out.....

I would too if I had the money lying around. I completely agree with everything you say there.

Yea for sure it looks awesome. the screen has some real potential (im a sucker for a nice screen), the wireless charging not 100% how that all works but if it works how im guessing might not be ideal as lets say i really need my phone but i have to wait for it to charge enough for it to power on vs now i can just plug it in and immediatly i can turn my phone on and use whatever power hungry things i want such as streaming video or whatnot, with also being able to move the phone around as long as the cord can reach. here i would have to keep it on a charger to use well charging? but yea it looks awesome but the htc one x+ might just steal my money depending on how they both look.

I think the wireless charging is an option, so you can just lay it on a pad and have it charge that way, and also plug it in via a cord if that's what you need as well. It did say that wireless charging accessories are sold separately.

Yea. i'm not sure if the microusb is going to be a good way to charge the phone or not. or if its just mainly for connecting to pc and the battery wouldn't be taking the right volts/amps to charge the battery normally or if its going to be like some of samsungs tablets that need an odd volt/amp ratings that only their charger base will provide. either way im excited for this phone for sure.

USB charging is better than wall outlet charging. Most wall outlets use half wave rectifiers, as far as I know. USB current is much more battery friendly.

😳 i didnt know that...? for the cost of an extra two diodes they dont make it a full wave? what's a diode cost them 5 cents? i'd be surprised.. but maybe. not sure what most of them do but i know for sure some tablets like the first galaxy tablet 10.1 would only really charge from its (samsungs) own wall charge head. If i plugged it into the pc it would take maybe 24hrs or so.. so not sure what they all do as far as that all goes. interesting though..

now that i think about it why not throw in a capacitor to smooth out the current coming in? maybe its not worth it for them a penny saved is a penny earned i guess...

Well...push comes to shove I probably won't actually be willing to make the purchase....I have 3 smartphones (a Blackberry Torch 9800, and 9860 and an unlocked GSM Galaxy Nexus) it's really hard for me to justify the purchase....
