On the contrary, Metro PCS and T-Mobile are two of the weaker companies on the markets, combining forces would make T-Mobile (or Metro PCS, whichever label they wanted to go by after the merger) a much stronger and more competitive company...instead of having a Verizon/at&t duopoly with T-Mobile and Sprint as somewhat feeble also-rans, you'd have a true third choice....
