MobileMe folded into iCloud and became free for everyone. iCloud is widely used and one of the best perks to Apple's ecosystem, offering things like app setting synchronization between multiple iOS devices and Macs, remote file access, backups, and of course file sync.
Not to mention, the backup + restore is a billion times more effective than anything Android's got (I know from having to hard reset my GNe
x and iPhone 4s.)
The only thing that failed was Ping, and who cares? It was a footnote feature at best.
