The i730 is pretty much definite for Verizon.

The full model number of the i830 is SCH-i830, and "SCH" usually means Verizon.

I'd say this is almost certainly intended for Verizon. (But if and when Verizon decides to release could be another matter.)

I understand that Sprint should come out with this phone soon. I can't remember what I last heard, but I think it was May 2005.

-Note the currently available PPC-6600 is available from Sprint and Verizon. It has many of the features that the i730 will have (although some proposed features of the i730 are better i.e. 1.3 megapixil camera & possibly Wi-Fi):
