Thank you for your courteous surreply. I am amused because your industry connection might indicate an axe to grind, whereas my connection is non-existent. I am an attorney by trade and an audiophile reviewer/writer by avocation. I have nothing to do with the cell phone business other than being technically savvy and a research fanatic.
I feel your pain about the 2+ year commitment...personally, I just can't do it. Cell phone development and technology is advancing at an alarming rate - like a geometric progression, so 2 years is a ridiculously long time. That's why I appreciate being able to pick up this phone off contract for a great price (which I just did, by the way), enjoy it for a six months to a year, sell it, and move on when some real game changing technology gets implemented.
Yep I created a profile to respond to your friend Eric's review. I was motivated to do so because I had done a boat load of research, both hands on and hands off, and I found his conclusion to be incorrect and particularly the tone of it to be unduly dismissive. It was far from being "dead on." In fact in my opinion it was dead off.
We can agree to disagree. I will go back to playing with my new Flex (arrived this morning) and reaffirming my opinions, As I used to say in my high-end audio reviews, I am the world authority and unimpeachable expert on what I like. LOL. Cheers.
