Apple CEO: We 'Fell Short' On Maps

Let's get this straight: So Apple feels the need to be in a pissing match with Google SO URGENTLY that they put out that POS mapping app when they still have time left on their contract with Google (during which they could develop and test their mapping app).

This wouldn't be such a big thing if this was something new, but they're replacing an excellent working product with something that's beta software at best, and it's their customers who are getting the dirty end of the stick.

I don't think this would have happened on Jobs' watch. While by many accounts the guy was an ass, he did understand that customers are the reason for the business, and to treat them right.
