I think this is the first time I am aware of where Apple has actually admitted fault about something.....I no longer even bother going to the Apple Store Genius Bar or calling Apple Care because I know that all they are going to do is find the one piece of non Apple hardware or software I am using and blame all my problems on it....'oh, you're running Microsoft Office on your Macbook Pro....well that must be the reason why it keeps crashing' or 'clearly the reason all your Time Machine back ups fail is because there is a problem with your external hard drive...' 🙄 If they are actually going to be willing to admit when their products don't work now, even recommend using a competitor's product instead of the Apple version.....that's a ...

Ha-ha. Yes, this is one of those situation where they cant just tell you "You are holding it wrong". Its like BP the only thing they can do is say " we are sorry". Apple has made a fantastic operating system but that is it. Please stick with what you know. Leave the mapping to Google please.

The maps are actually provided by Tom Tom...which has been in the GPS, maps business for a while now.....I'm not sure why they are so bad but......Apple did turn to an established 'name' to get its maps rather than try to make their own....I don't know why the app isn't better...
