I know a few people who have a AT&T business phone and a Verizon personal phone.
"But in theory" once T-mobile gets done with their spectrum refarming, you could have two numbers one from AT&T for business and T-Mobile for personal, or vise versa, with the dual sim Xperia Tipo. Or would both numbers have to be both from AT&T?

Two numbers from any GSM provider would work. There is no restriction on which providers they are from. You can have both AT&T or both T-Mobile or one of each or use foreign roaming sims. It's all good.

It has native USB tethering and WIFI hotspot capabilities. There is no other dual-sim android phone from a major manufacturer with USA 3G frequencies. This is looking like a real winner. I hope someone can buy it and try it and review it.

Most carriers no longer allow the 'data only' plan for smartphones.....if you have a data plan you are required to have a voice plan....

But for under $200, that's not bad for an unlocked phone running Android 4.0.

Well, it could also apply to a wireless broadband account. A lot of data sticks need to ahve a sim card plugged into them, in theory you could use that sim card in a phone and just get data. I know simple mobile offers wireless broadband, 25 dollars for 750 mb, and 45 dollars for 2 gb. And I know for a fact you can use it in a phone as well. I figure other companies might offer the same.
