Well, I own both of them....
If your idea of 'innovation' is a spec sheet feature with very little usability in the real world (NFC), sure. But the iPhone is about carefully choosing which features to implement, and implementing them better than any other phone manufacturer. (They don't always, but 9 times out of 10 Apple's implementation is the benchmark.)
Don't pretend for a minute the copy+paste functionality, the non-Gmail mail functionality, the wireless streaming functionality, or the app ecosystem on any Android phone is up to the level of that on iOS. Try mirroring your Android phone on your TV with a DLNA solution like the Media Link HD - the results are LOL next to Airplay.
The 5 has a better screen in terms of color range and accuracy than any other phone on the market. It's posting the fastest HTML5 and JQuery benchmarks (this is in part due to iOS's far superior acceleration for WebKit), while still beating most Android phones on battery life *and* still being thinner.
