I think you maybe coming off a little emotional over this review. I was not surprised at all by his opinion. When it comes to hardware, Apple is above most in design. It's always been this way. All the way back from the beginning through Mac Vs PC, and now today's Apple products, Apple spends a great deal of time and money to detail. I know, I was part of the Apple fan crowd years ago. In regards to the iPhone5, There are noticeable improvements in this iPhone over the old. This phone was highly anticipated and many blog sites have expressed their excitement for it.
My feelings are somewhat different than Eric's. Screen size has gotten very selective for consumers. Small? medium? large? It is an important choice for purchases. I have some Android users that checked out the new iPhone. When comparing screen sizes, they walked away happy with their current phone. I spent about two hours playing with the new iPhone and I too, walked away unimpressed. It didn't grow on me like Eric claims it did for him. I will guess that many will feel the same way as I do. Some will not. Yes, the hardware is great and the improvements are commendable. Yet, I don't care for it. It felt odd to me. I guess I've gotten accustomed to the larger display, hardware design and most importantly, the customization of Android. However, for current iPhone users, this is a welcome upgrade and they will sell a ton of them. It still doesn't change how I feel. And, In the end, if it doesn't change how you feel, then it doesn't matter what Eric writes.
