The carrier does not 'win' if you get hit with an overage charge, that is actually when the carrier LOSES.....the point of overage fees is not about raising revenue (and if it was, they wouldn't be so eager to waive them as they do more than 90% of the time), overage fees are a tool to change customer behavior by offering incentives...the proverbial 'carrot and stick'...the point of setting overage fees is to NOT have to charge them.....if the overage actually is charged then that means that the customer behavior was NOT changed which means that the carrier LOST....
