What would be a shock to all?

If AT&T actually surpass Verizon Wireless on LTE coverage by the end of 2013. I would be shocked, and appluad AT&T. Let the waiting games begin!

at&t only plans to equal Verizon's coverage, they have no plans, at this point, to try to surpass it.

I honestly doubt that would happen.

Verizon has more of an incentive to roll LTE out everywhere as fast as possible. (simply due to the fact that their 3G network is pretty awful).

AT&T has HSPA+ in a lot of places, and while we can argue endlessly on if it's 4G or not, it's a whoooooole lot faster than Verizon's fall back.

Soooo I don't see AT&T aggressively going after LTE beyond major cities, like Verizon needs to do.

But hey, I could be wrong. I'm not the CEO of either company, so who knows what those guys are planning.
