Is this a sign of desperation by Apple? 😲 They must really be worried about competition from Android.

Doubt that's it. Ever since it hit Sprint, they've been going to pre-paid carriers. They said years ago they were planning on doing this.

Apple's way is NOT to flood the market selling their products everywhere they can....Apple's way is to promote the myth that their products are 'exclusive' by restricting the places where you can buy them...can you buy a Macbook at Walmart? No...why not? Because Walmart is not 'exclusive' enough.

Best buy sells all Apple products. They have to sign to an agreement to actually sell these products to be an authorized seller. Wal-Mart is too cheap to do that. Hence why they have crap for products. Have you seen the laptops they offer? Low to barely mid range laptops.

Wal-mart uses hard-ball tactics to bargain for dirt-cheap prices. Apple refuses to have their products sold below their established market price, and hence won't use Wal-mart.

But Apple doesn't mind selling iPad's and iPhones at Walmart...so frankly I think that explanation is bogus...
