Verizon Won't Charge for FaceTime Over Cellular

Isn't Verizon required to allow FaceTime over cell because of the net neutrality rules on placed on thier 700 MHz spectrum (LTE)? After all VZW did just pay $1.25M for blocking "tethering" apps. Could all of this be the reason for behind the "cold turkey" switch to Share Everything?

Yes, the FCC is making them allow FaceTime over cellular. Verizon isn't doing it out of the kindness of their heart.

Verizon doesn't have a heart. I wouldn't give away a revenue source willingly either, by the way. Fortunately, Google suggested that condition be placed on this block of spectrum and that Google bid the spectrum up so that the condition took effect.
