Actually I think that policies like this are the reason Sprint has struggled to make a profit....it's hard to remain profitable if you give everything away....moreover people don't value what they don't pay for....so paradoxically, charging for Facetime over cellular can help to turn Sprint around...

first i want to admit i'm a fan boy of sprint. but i'll argue that if they didn't have unlimited, they would be out of business by now, its what differentiates them from AT&T and Verizon. They would die without it. But you are probably right, they could be alright and make some extra $$ and people would pay for the facetime. But they're not charging for it, so i they must feel its in their interest to keep it included.

if they are all moving over to LTE 4g, it wont cost them anything. it would be cheaper for the data and might as well start profiting from customers coming over than making money off loyal customers like the other companies do.

Who knows - maybe if they didn't offer truly unlimited, maybe their 3G network would be less used than it is right now, and actuially be a usable network.

Truly unlimited is great for everything except the network. Probably just from iPhone + Android users streaming netflix 24/7.

Expanding their native coverage footprint would be great as well. Roaming agreements galore a great network does not make. Anytime off a major interstate or Urban area=No Service, Searching......, or Roaming.
