I can't believe they actually called it the iPhone5.

I mean, I know that it doesn't really make any difference, but Apple is usually infamous for pulling all sorts of crap with their devices names.

Also, with the now large 4.0 screen, I wonder if an "iPad Mini" is either feasible or even necessary.

Well...today Tim Cook claimed that Apple had a 68% market share in tablets....two years ago that number was more like 90%....which means that Apple has lost significant market share...unless they want that to continue....a smaller form iPad tablet does seem necessary...

But that seems a little askew. Looking back to two years ago, Apple had the ONLY BLOODY tablet worth having.

Since 2010, Samsung and other manufacturers have considerably stepped up their game in the tablet computer arena. Even ASUS makes a reasonably priced tablet which is worth having.

It seems to me that if someone wants a tablet computer, anything smaller than a 10" screen seems useless. You may as well just use a smartphone.

As for Apple losing marketshare, boo hoo, you can't be #1 in every category for ever. They are the biggest corporation on the face of the planet, I'm sure they'll be just fine.

But the reason why they are losing market share is because people are buying 7 inch tablets......10 inches is just too big and too heavy....people want something smaller...

Personally IF I were to get a tablet, I would get either a 7in
or an 8in tablet.

I bought my mother a Kindle Fire for Christmas, and she loves that thing. I got myself and my girlfriend a Nexus 7, and I'm literally on it constantly.

The portability of the 7" form factor allows me to comfortably take and use my tablet in places that I would never bring a 10". I can hold it, with a firm grip, in just one hand.
