I laugh at everyone that are willing to spend outlandish amounts of $$$ for already way overpriced products.

Are we going with or without contracts?
With contract..they are competitively priced amongst everyone...
Hell, they barely cost more at full retail..I guess you are laughing at all cell phone makers in general.

GSIII 16GB is $549.99
iPhone 4S 16GB is $649.99

Not much of a difference if you ask me..

Thats a matter of opionion. Spec wise the S3 smokes the 4s. So paying 100 more for a (questionable) inferior phone wouldn't be evenly priced. Same story with contract except they are charging the same price for a much newer phone.

I'd hope so..you are comparing a phone that is almost a year old to a phone that just released only a few months ago.

Plus the 4S will take a price cut as the iPhone 5 is announced/launched.

Now your switching sides.....So you are actually admitting the S3 is superior (wow!) Well since the 4s is a year old as you said how is it priced competitively at ALL?

Depending on who you go with, the iPhone 4S on Sprint is $149.99 (which will drop tomorrow, but has been this price for over a month now.) The 4S is still a contender for a top phone regardless. I'd hope that a phone that just recently came out to have better specs. If you think the iPhone is not competitively priced with other devices, that's your own opinion. I feel the quality of the device (compared to plastic) and a great user experience is worth the money. The SIII is also not the same price on every carrier.

I agree, I do find a lot of their stuff to be over priced, but the iPhone is not one of them. If you are going to be paying $549.99 for a new phone at full retail, what's another $100? By then, money isn't really an object whe...

You are still paying for a great device, regardless. The full retail cost rarely ever drops until they are about to discontinue the model, this goes with essentially every cell phone.

Apple has a cycle and price cuts do not come for the current iPhone until the new iPhone gets announced/released thats just the apple way and has been for awhile now.

It also depends if your talking contract or out of contract pricing to. Personally some people like the iPhone but just use it for text talk social networking and a few games, and will by an older device knowing Apple will support it.

I understand all the responses.
You all are entitled to your opinions just like I am equally entitled to mine.
I definitely have better priorities in life other than entering into lengthy phone contracts or over-spend my hard earned money on over-rated devices.
