I reviewed the Photon 4G a year ago. I thought that was a great phone. It was a slab-style device, though, and not a slider. http://www.phonescoop.com/articles/article.ph p?a=8574

The Photon Q shares few features with the Photon 4G other than the name and a general familial resemblance (different form factor, different software, different radio). You can be sure it has almost none of the same components. The Q has more in common with Motorola's most recent devices.

I compared the Photon Q to the Droid 4 because the two have a nearly identical look and feel (sideways sliders), and the keyboard is essentially the same. I referenced the Atrix HD only because it uses the exact same software skin as the Photon Q.

The spec about 8GB of internal memory is available on the Photon Q's spec page. I referenced the fact that it has a microSD card, which more than makes up for the reduced amount of internal storage.

Either way, I don't think it's fair for you to condemn the entire review because you don't like the devices to which I compared the Photon Q. Every device has to stand on its own, no matter what precedes it or succeeds it.
