Samsung Loses Apple Patent Case
A good day for design in general - and the phone industry
Samsung's lack of originality extends way before the iPhone (it was a Phone Scoop April fools article years back.) If there's to be competition, it's simply not okay to just directly rip off the design of a successful product- they need to produce something *better.*
(Heck, they just launched the Galaxy note and grafted on the same cruddy faux leather onto the calendar.)
In fact, since Apple started going on the offensive, other phone manufacturers h...
how many past post have i seen where you attack android and htc saying there ish and then you say great this and great that about them, wow what happened
Honestly, how can anyone expect a fair trial when such factors were already in place?
There was no impartial verdict. How could there be? The jurors owned Apple products, Apple provides thousands of jobs for the local economy there. So why in blazes would a jury render a verdict against them?
What about Google? Google's headquarters are in Mountain View, and also employs lots of people. Samsung's devices run Google's OS, and even though Google isn't a direct party in this suit (nor is it directly attacking the Android OS) , there are still local repercussions.
Simply put, you're mad because Samsung was guilty, so now you're crying conspiracy as a coping mechanism. Grow up.
Yet to answer your question, conspiracy no. Biased yes. If you own a certain product and keep buying new versions of said product, that would make you a loyal biased consumer. So yeah, in MY opinion, the jurors in that case were biased. Apple most likely knew about this and played on that fact.
Also, the case was tried in their HQ city, so yes, another reason for a bias, or you could say tainted, jury pool.
Considering guilty verdicts. Did not Apple get found guilty in Korea of infringments. So we now that Apple does the same thing as they are accusing Samsung of.
Apple doesn't innovate, they bully and intim...
I think Bluecoyote is one of those people....
So there you go. Your following statment of:
"Actually, all the jurors save 1 had IPhones" was a flat-out lie you made up.
If you're going to make up facts to support your view of a company clearly in the wrong, you might be a fanboy.
However, your statement:
""If you're going to make up facts to support your view of a company clearly in the wrong, you might be a fanboy.""
very much so clearly shows that yes, you are a fanboy.
I think in all honesty, we exhaust a lot of time on these forums for learning, instructing and of course, flagging other's comments. Maybe we should all take extra time and focus our energies in soliciting our government congressmen and senators for investigating and modifying...
