I know south korea is not the largest country, however it is a huge cell phone market. Is this really what Apple and Samsung wanted? Lost revenue for both companies? I really doubt it.

as for samsung i think it is what they wanted it hurts apple a lot more then then apple has only a few phones it sells while samsung has tons of phones for them to have 2 of out 20 items vs apple 2 out of 4 items its not a bad deal

Not sure who it would hurt more really. I think Apple's eggs are all in the iPhone 4s, iPad 3 (new iPad or whatever theyre calling it), and their soon to be released models. On the other hand, the Galaxy SII and Galaxy Nexus are probably still good sellers for Samsung. But I agree with you, this is a ruling that seems to hurt both companies and benefit neither. I think its a rare case of justice.

Samsung is actually much more than just a consumer electronics company too....they make everything from refrigerators to air conditioners and vacuum cleaners....they won't be hurt all that much

Turning off the "bounce" animation is easy to do and irrelevant. I don't know the details of the "networking" thing Apple would have to fix, but it sounds like it has the potential to be a functional issue which would require some real coding work.
