I agree. Maybe because it's not part of the "One" series. Well it is in a technical sense but it's not exactly the same phone as the One X. It has a bigger battery and of course different design and color. Maybe Sprint felt that the name Evo X would imply that it's the 10th generation Evo?

I would guess that Sprint is wanting to push out the association between 4G and LTE to consumers as it transitions away from WiMax, introducing the association between Sprint and LTE in regards to 4G while still sticking to the EVO branding as well.
