Nokia - step by step to it's End ?

After I read this article I think that Nokia steering strong forward to it's own end. If someone sells his Essential Patents it means that the company needs as soon as possible money.....

What a sad Company Story - one of the most traditional Cell Phone Companys creates his own grave... 😢

Not necessarily. Baseband patents just simply aren't as valuable as they used to be and Nokia exited that business I believe last year.

It's like cleaning out the attic. Sure there might be some valuable stuff up there, but if you haven't had the time to pay attention, you might be better off generating some immediate cash.

I think Nokia made it pretty clear that they are focusing on the Windows/MS alliance and chasing down licenses and royalties is simply a waste of time, resource, and focus(even if it generates revenue).

You can't simply say that because a company sells patents, it's going out of business. Tech companies have to regularly reinvent themselves and shed off the old stuff in order to stay alive.
