Hey, I'll admit it I don't like VZW's shared data plans. My bill went up. And I even like less that they don't give you a choice, unlike ATT.
But I think customers want their service to work. Although I recently witnessed an VZW rep in the store explaining to a gal who was complaining about how her bill had gone up. The rep told her "You get what you pay for, we're the best and you're paying for it." 😳
I was a little surprised at that. So "The good guys" may get some defectors but when TMO is now faster than you. Don't expect them to coming to Sprint in droves.

What about if service is leaps and bounds better after Network Vision is completed....do you think that people will run to Sprint? I think it's possible.

I think it would be a good thing if Sprint gave Verizon & AT&T some problems.

It's nice to hear a CEO say that he's for the consumer, when other CEO's (cough cough Verizon's) have said in so many words that they are just looking to milk customers for a little more...

I find it an insult that Dan Hesse continues to speak at all. Not only has Sprint gone from being consumer friendly, possibly the most so in the industry, to one of the ones that has the slowest data of all networks becoming a bigger joke than AT&T was on iPhone launch, but also introduced throttle plans on all its prepaid line plans, has raised its ETFs, surcharges, upgrade fees, as well as have limited credits for customer issues that are the fault of Sprint, JUST LIKE THE OTHERS. So please, tell me, Dan, just how does Sprint think they are going to be the better carrier, cause all I hear is words you've stated for years, but seen nothing but the opposite when policies change.

Sir. I am not sure if you have been paying any attention to how the industry works. But to be honest Sprint had the most discounts and was practically giving things away with their plan pricing among other things which is why they never turned a profit. This was needed to be done in order for Sprint to have the funds to compete with the rest of the industry. They are practically selling $600+ phones for a extremely low subsidized price Tmobile sells the same GS3 for $100 more and more expensive plans because those throttled data plans although there are no overages become useless once you reach your limit 200MB or 2GB of data please with the new capabilities the new high end smart phones offer you will blow through that data in less then 2 w...

Like the other carriers Sprint raised fees to sell the iphone just like the others did because as unfortunate as it is Apple has all the carriers by the balls and they know it. Each carrier that sells the iphone has to make cost changes to pay Apple the ridiculous amount of money they demand for their overrated phones. Sprint is going thru Network Vision and yes it is causing some problems but in the long run it will benefit both the customer and ghe company. People are quick to jump on the "trash Sprint" bandwagon and bet you money a lot of those idiots that do trash Sprint are former customers who didn't pay their bill were shut off for not paying their bill and were turned down when they demanded credit for their "inconvenience". I for on...

Don't be so trusting. It's just spin from a smaller customer. They need to be more competitive on price and service to make up for what they lack in coverage and speed. I'm a Sprint customer and am only there because of price. Network Vision isn't going to cover the fact they still lack bandwidth in places Verizon and AT&T have it.

All great points. And I wonder how Sprint will react if the spectrum they launch LTE on is at capacity...

But you do also have to realize, that Network Vision is re-broadcasting the Nextel iden spectrum to LTE, so actually Sprint WILL have as much spectrum as AT&T and Verizon when Network Vision is complete, SO right now, you're right, the don't have as much spectrum, but they don't have as many customers either. But in the future they will have A LOT more spectrum available for LTE

Of course it's spin! But what do you care as long as you are getting a cheaper rate? Everyone wants to be the man. Small fries rail against the machine....until they get a chance to join up. I like Sprint offering an alternative to Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum...but I have no illusions that if they could switch places with AT&T or VZW...they would. Fortunately for consumers...they can't. That ship sailed a long time ago. Choosing to obtain a willing Nextel rather than Alltel and say US Cellular perhaps. Let's see if we can't prop Sprint and T-Mobile up as long as possible...until they sell out.

I can't believe that Sprint is crowing about 'unlimited data' while throttleing their customers.

What a joke

What in the WORLD! 😲 What in the world are you doing, streaming movies or video chatting all phone calls? I can't even imagine using that much data myself. I'm not judging you but, man! Lol

They don't throttle, they just probably have poor service in their area or it's a congested area. You aren't always going to get a constant stable connection with any carrier.

I am excited for Sprint to deploy LTE in the Detroit area. I really want to leave AT&T for Sprint.... I am just waiting for Sprint to bring network vision to the D. Hopefully they don't disappoint me and can gain new customers through network vision.
