And not enough common sense. Verizon and AT&T rule their respective roosts. They do not need to negotiate or have competitive price plans - as they pretty much rule it all.

Let's forget for a second that Verizon and AT&T are MUCH more expensive than Sprint, and look at the fact that Sprint is the ONLY national carrier with unlimited data.

It's the fact that Verizon and AT&T think they can get away with capping you - and also charging you more.

So yes, Dan was discussing how two mega-companies are not good for the average person - and it shouldn't be in any ones interests (besides the corporations) for Verizon and AT&T to expand further.

Are you blind? Look at the number of acquisitions both ATT and Verizon have made. I wish there was a report hat showed their increase in customers without acquisitions. Or for that matter the increase in network coverage.

The problem is the disparity between the quality of the data networks on the big 2 and Sprint. I don't know how many people here actually have Sprint but I do. 3G speed tests average about 0.2 MB. 4G speed tests average, when I can get it, 1.7MB. This is downtown in St Louis, MO which is hardly a small town.

I am GLADLY willing to pay $15 more a month to the big two to get 3G speeds that average in my area about 2 MB or 4G speeds that average 10MB. I see that extra $15 as a bargain. I mean what is the difference in paying $80/mo for a phone I can't really use or paying $95 for a phone that gets signal anywhere I go.
