Childish and Petty
Typical of Steve Jobs, but I really expected better from Tim Cook....I'm disappointed.

I see this as a good thing, YouTube app is old and hasn't been updated in sometime. This will allow for Google to make a better iOS app than what was currently offered.

Maybe, but 'we don't want to include You Tube because Google bad' is a really dumb reason...

It's not like they're completely blocking the app out. You can still download it. They are just no longer going to ship the iPhone with it pre-installed.

I don't necessarily think it's like that. They aren't replacing it with their own version of YouTube to compete, they are simply removing it so it becomes an available option to download. It's not like they are banning the application from existence. What's wrong with being not being reliant off of someone else's application? I can only see this as a good thing, better iOS YouTube application that can be comparable to the Android version instead of having a crappy YouTube app that is currently on the phone.

Could not agree more with Haggard!

It's not childish and petty. They decided that they didn't need to pay to renew the license. Why pay to put something on the phone if people can just download it from the app store anyway? Smart business move IMHO.
