don't u just LOVE how the U.S. gets SHAFTED with all the latest and greatest GARBAGE in technology??!! there's SO much better gadgets out there, and this is what they have to offer us, gee...thanks...BUT NO THANKS!!

that argument used to be perfectly valid but i don't understand how you can still say that. sure we don't get alot of the Series 60 phones that other countries get, but when you look at what does come to the states, it's in line with what the rest of the world (outside Japan) can get. of course what you CAN get in japan is just exceptional.

🙄 Hey ...what do you expect ! Manufacturers insist on inventing things we didn't ask for or want ! And when they do, it's just "crappy" ..! Consider the camera in a cell phone .. 1.3 megapizels ..sheesh, may as well by a kodak flash cube ! Music .. for what, it's fidelity is hollow ..may as well listen to mono records..And this iPhone is a big joke !!

Certainly, manufacturers tend to sell us what they invent rather than find out what we need and develop a product that meets our need. However, we do finally seem to be seeing some evolution in the cell phone UI and while the iPhone will not be available for a few months, at least it has generated significant discussion about new/different UI paradigms. Go Steve!
