If it only went the other way

If it only went the other way! If Nextel took over Sprint and put more money into the IDen system. 95% of my co-workers & friends used Nextel's 2-way most everyday. Worked great 99% of the time and worked great on 9/11. I feel all of myFriends & co-works would have their Nextel today. But once Sprint took over Nextel service went down the tubes. Now only 2 of my friends and co-workers have Sprint/Nextel phones and are about ready to switch to Verizon, of course pay a little more each month and almost no dead spots.

So the fact that iden was a dead end tech with no evolutionary path means nothing to you?

What would the world be like if Sprint had not bought Nextel? Nextel would have gone bankrupt and maybe Sprint would have been a much stronger company. They would not have been sued by all those affiliates. Maybe they would have had the good sense to buy Alltel rather than allow Big Red to gobble them up. That would be the alternate universe where the Buffalo Bills won four straight Super Bowls in the nineties.

I get so tired of him posting under yet another username! I say good riddance to the ones who'd rather switch & pay more for less. Verizon & att have the worst PTT networks ever devised.

Funny thing is these people want to leave because they're being offered a better service lol. I have sprint service and it works great for me, and where it doesn't I have free roaming on Verizon. so why should I switch to them when I essentially get the same service for less ?. People just need to accept the fact that iDEN is dead and has been so for years and im glad, I hated hearing that chirping sound and the loud obnoxious conversations that went along with it.

Yes, but can Sprint turn your lemonade stand into a billion dollar company in one day like Verizon? 🤣
