Can someone please explain to me why its so important to have unlimited on there phones when there is wifi almost everywhere. It's annoying to hear people talk about keeping there unlimited plan when all unlimited does is bog down the network and ruins the experience for people willing to pay for data fairly..its annoying..I used to have unlimited but I chose to go to tiered because I learned that I don't go over 3GB anyway..if I do im willing to pay the overage..There is wifi everywhere..I don't get it...get over the unlimited data..evenually it will go away for good.

Your generalization about wifi everywhere is baseless. Are you a phone company employee? Why would you want to pay for something with a limit when it was offered without a limit?

If the phone company cannot handle the demand then they should not have offered it in the first place. Any nonsense about not realizing how much people would use is nonsense!

Phone companies are here to make money, they offered unlimited to addict people, and now they will such as much money from users as possible.

Additionally this shared data plan is a joke, it will cost way more than what I am currently paying for the same usage.

Every phone company throttles the data after so much use and gives poor experience. The shared mobile plans offered by Verizon and AT&T will benefit some customers. These plans are not really to save you money but to be easier to manage everything. Unlimited internet on a mobile device is a joke anyways for many reasons and is old. Enjoy your unlimited, you probably do not use the data you think you do. And there are millions of data users today vs. 5-6 years ago..so you saying offering unlimited when they could not handle network is not a good point when back then barely anyone used a smartphone let alone used data on a phone..we are all spoiled and maybe that is the carriers fault...But unlimited data is not everything...Be thankful that h...

Do you live on Mars or Jupiter ? Becuase you don't live on Earth.

Here on Earth, we ALWAYS offer things that we don't have.

Airlines overbook planes, car rental companies take bookings for cars they don't even have on their lot, Busses oversell their seats, retail stores advertise products they dont even have.

Deception and deceit is the human way these days.

to be fair jeep, the unlimted plans were out back when blackberries were the main intenet phones, which used litle to no data on heav use. he companies let you keep the unlimted data as long as it wasnt tying the network up, which now it is. it isnt that the companies made something just to take it away, it is that they made something, and 10 years later it needed to be changed.

I don't have WiFi access nor do I wish to be dependent upon it when I have my trusty unlimited data and mobile broadband connect features. Yay.
