Their network is so bogged down it is not even funny. Almost every prepaid carrier uses this 3g network, at times is slower than EDGE(have done speed test in Indianapolis). At times you can't even send a picture message or text. Now they are adding another carrier to slow down the network. They don't cap or throttle contract paying customers, but they don't need to because it is throttled by the network being pimped out.

Don't even bother calling their network 3G, just say "Sprint's network" and people will know how slow to expect their data.

What are you talking about? Are you referring to us talking about their 3G network? In 2012 that's all they have in most places and it is bogged down! Wimax is in very few major cities, and it can be slow at times. It was more of a shot at Sprint for selling off its LTE network before it is even up and running yet. I maybe be wrong, but I don,t think it's working anywhere until end of August. I am also aware that towers get rented out, it's part of the business. 5 prepaid carriers use Sprints network besides their postpaid customers.

Um, doesn't what you just said defeat your argument? If Sprint's network is so slow and terrible, why would any potential company want to be the next schmucks to sign a deal with them? 😕

It gets bogged down because they lease it up to everyone and their mother..the speeds would be better if they didn't lease it to everyone who asks. 3G has always been crap on Sprint anyways. A co-worker speeds range from barely 1kbps to 2.0MBps. Just depends on how congested it is here.
