"Share Everything plan, which starts at $80 per month for unlimited voice and messaging, and 300MB of data."

Ouch.

Verizon is not known for being the cheapest on the block. They know those customers will go elsewhere if thats the only thing they are looking at.

True, but for 300MB, that shouldn't even be an option for smartphones.

I know. Its almost a pay as you go plan. The type of user that would get this phone won't be a top 5% data user either I guess.

You're better off with their prepaid plan. Same price, but you'll get 1GB of data, rather than 300MB.

I'm retired, so when I'm not at home, I'm busy enough that I really don't have time to futz around with a phone. Sometimes, however when I out with friends and some debate pops up or I just am curious about something, I'll go online to get the answer.

My BB Bold 9650 has rarely let me down and I have never used more than a third of my whopping 150MB plan.

I have no use for social networks and most apps, but I do like technology and a faster processor and 4G would interest me quite a bit, although I doubt that a faster, more capable phone would cause me to use more data.

I feel the same about ATT. I've been with them so long and managed to hold on to an old plan. Although, I dont know how that will work when it's time for me to upgrade this fall. They have already throttled my "unlimited data" and I want a 4G phone but, I'm afraid they will make me pay for the limited plan, when I do.

they wont.

not currently anyway.

plus if you get an LTE phone, they start throttling you at 5gb of useage instead of 3gb.

Blackberries are a lot more data efficient than other smartphones, 300MB on a Blackberry is the equivalent of a couple of gigabytes on an Android or iPhone....

Stop to think. It's a BLACKBERRY. They're known for being data efficient. IMO, putting a cap on this is stupid, but the majority of people won't need more than 300 MB on a BlackBerry anyways.

For just browsing, yeah. But if they were to attempt to do more than that, then they'd run into a problem.
