Judge Lets Galaxy Nexus Sales Ban Stand
Fame and Fortune.
For thirty years, Apple has been the struggling Artist. It believed in remaining far removed from society when it came to its beliefs. It wanted to do things its way and nobody else's.
Along the way, it took ideas and incorporated them in its act. It piqued limited interest here and there through a couple of generations and continued the road of performing trying to get that major break.
Enter the iPhone:
A revolutionary product to not only grab attention of a new generation but also some of the older. This propels Apple to world Fame and Stardom. The struggling artist now has reached the goal it longed for.
However, Apple has not learned the consequence of Fame; Emulation a...

Wonderful post.
Apple isn't upset that other companies are responding to their products and even imitating some features. Apple is, instead, upset that other companies are being pretty downright lazy copying them. Say what you want about Apple's lawsuits, but it's hard to deny that the design of Android phones has gotten better since manufacturers stopped blatantly copying old Apple designs down to the chrome bezels (Samsung, lookin' at you!). We're now seeing more interesting, original takes such as the HTC One series, and the Holo UI.

I'm not sure this proves whether I'm right or wrong. As you have pointed out, this is repeating what Apple Reps have been claiming throughout the tech media presses.
Roe Vs Wade of electronics. Corporate jargon is always fun to listen to. I love to hear companies defend themselves.
Google is not perfect. Samsung is not perfect, nor is any business. Apple is not exempt from the flaws of business.
We can disagree all day. One thing we should NOT disagree on is, Steve Jobs' video taped commentary on Apple's quest to push for the t...

Apple fans do not want to be bothered with evidence that Apple has a history of taking someone else's ideas. Their goal is to dismiss other's visions as irrelevant. I don't get why they seem to ignore simple facts. It's like an idiot-savant persona. I still witness young people of this generation thinking Apple was never a company before the ipod touch. They perceived it as a new, never existed corporation.
In some defense to Apple however, they do have a knack for improving many designs and concepts(on other's ideas), but they are almost always leapfrogged as we are again witnessing today.
