Video Stream
Wonder how it will stack up against Sprint's service...
...
sucks that the moto phones have such a slow frame rate.
...
It is just because the Moto phones avilable now for the MobiTV with Cingular are only GPRS, that is why the Nokia has the higher frame rate now... just wait till it is avilable on the Moto v551 or any other EDGE capable device, it will improve.
...
I'm pretty sure the frame rate difference has something to do with how the video is delivered to the phone as well as the network speed. It mentioned that with the Motos it's viewed via a Java app. With the Nokia it is viewed via the streaming video support which the motos don't have.
...
It would be nice if Moto supported streaming video with a program other than java. I have the V551 and I may try it out with the three day trial period when it becomes available on my phone. It will probably run a little better since it's edge, but I'm guessin it'll still be choppy. Can't really complain though. Moto makes a sturdy, user friendly, and clear sounding phone. All in all I think I'll still be satisfied with a choppy screan since it is just a phone. Watchin TV is what my plasma screen is for!

Moto MPx220 supports streaming multi-media, though no edge.

Edge is nothing next to EVDO, my sprint phone gets 15 frames a second, and thats not even close to EVDO. When they launch that **** in the next few months **** will hit the fan!
