Steve had his good side...but he was also very stubborn and combative and liked to impose policies that restricted user's freedom to use devices the way they wanted.....and his management style was somewhat thuggish and dictatorial, he tended to alienate people very quickly...when he didn't like something he wouldn't say 'well, this isn''t quite what I wanted' he would rather brutally berate the engineer who developed it for a good hour or so, calling him everything but white just because a device was one millimeter thicker than he wanted, or the load time was off by a quarter of a millisecond...speaking frankly, the direction Steve was taking the company was leading it straight into a huge anti-trust lawsuit...
Tim Cook seems more mild, and personable, and I think his tenure is likely to be characterized by an 'opening up' of Apple....Tim Cook could well be a kind of Gorbachov to Steve Jobs's Brezhnez, and in the long run that will good for Apple I think...
