RIM May Split Business Apart

I think this is premature, to say the least, the option of getting out of hardware business and focusing solely on software was one of the 2-3 options RIM was considered a likely way to reorganize the company....I'll be damned if I can understand how a possible decision to do exactly what everyone thought they might do amounts to a 'death' of the company.....when you do exactly what people expect you to do....that's the exact opposite of 'shocking'...

And for struggling hardware vendors to give up on hardware and focus on software is a proven strategy to turn a company around, worked very well for IBM, among others.
