This is by no means the end of RIM. Maybe, RIM as we currently know it but, they will still be around. Let's not get side tracked with the business aspect and understand that RIM may just turn out to be a more rounded company, once they open up more of there services to other platforms.

If they decide to go that route, it would be a way to keep people thinking about their services, like BBM, security features and email services. These were the three main features in my opinion, that made BB so popular, in addition to the physical keyboard, that is.

This will give them time to improve OS10, while actively improving user experiences and possibly offering something new to the game, while allowing them to run on other platforms. So, when ...

Is that this is not even confirmed yet....it is speculation by a third party source whom we don't even know has any real knowledge....

But....assuming it is true....exactly what this would mean for Blackberry 10 is anybody's guess...

If RIM is going to be sold, I would like it to be bought by Microsoft....a Windows Phone with Blackberry services would be AWESOME....a very potent combination....

Interesting you bring this up. what I have seen of BB10 so far gives me the impression that at least the home screen has a Windows type feel to it.

Add blackberry services to a windows phone and I am there Very Happy
...
