How Will This affect the US market?

I am just wondering what Siemens sale or non-sale will do to the US.

I am not sure how many people own Siemens phones, but they don't really have a stake in the US cellphone market like Nokia, Samsung, etc.

Thanks.

actually siemens sells quite a few models thru cingular, and one or two through t-mobile as well. in general that still doesn't compare to their sales in other gsm markets. despite better sales outside the US, it's been quite some time since siemens was in the top 5 handset brands. Which i think is part of why they are having to go through this decision making process.

if i were siemens and wanted to make money again, i would hire a real industrial designer, maybe even a famous one, and him overhaul the entire handset line AS WELL AS the interface. technically siemens are decent phones, but their unremarkable design and inscrutable interface is what i believe is responsible for their poor sales.
