The only thing is that CPU-intensive, multi-threaded apps will do better with a quad core compared to a dual core.
The mainstream is under the impression that more cores simply mean more speed. No! If the apps you use are not optimised for use on a multi-core device, then the performance will reflect that. Besides, we aren't at the point when our phones can do all the heavy lifting our desktops and laptops are demanded to do, nor where an octo, or 16 core chip is feasable in a phone. The battery life in that would suck, lol. I'll stick to the S4 chip for now.
