Should I sue Cingular Blue (AWS) because my Nokia 6310i can't transfer MP3 files over Bluetooth? It says it has Bluetooth and it can connect to PCs and Laptops!

If your choice was that phone on AT&T's network, you are not allowed to play with bluetooth. ........

Anyway, Cingular at least has 7 Bluetooth phones with full capabilities. Verizon created so much false demand for the 710 that people were paying 500-550 full retail just to say they had one first. Now its 300 on ebay if that. They kept pushing back the release date and launching inferior phones first. Now everybody is looking for those phones. Pretty smart plan...but not good to play games with customers during the rumored "mergers"

I guess you missed the point of this message board, The Motorola v710 had the OBEX profile, but it was disabled by Verizon. These people have no right to sue Verizon, if they are so pissed they should cancel their contract and switch to another carrier.

They totally have the right to sue if Verizon falsely advertized the capabilities of the phone.

Why does vzw say
The Motorola V710 is a phone and a whole lot more. Featuring an integrated 1.2 megapixel camera, video capture, playback and messaging to any email address, and Mobile Web 2.0, it's a phone that is designed for the way you live. And with Bluetooth® wireless technology, you can make hands-free, eyes-free calls, and connect to your PC or PDA whenever and wherever you want.
and not have an asteric that says something like requires service, charges apply or note: bluetooth can only be used for headset/handsfree profiles.

Be honest and let people decide.

But if you click on the bluetooth name in that paragraph and then click on "what is bluetooth" you get this...

"What are Bluetooth profiles?
A profile is a description of how to use a specification to implement a given end-user function. The International Standards Organization (ISO) first came up with the idea of profiles. In Bluetooth, there are several profiles available and they are arranged in a hierarchical fashion, as illustrated in this diagram. For example, in order to use the headset profile, a device must also include the lower level profiles such as the serial port and general access profiles. Back to top
Which profiles does Verizon Wireless currently support?
Verizon Wireless currently supports three Bluetooth profiles:...
