While I think Verizon will win this suit hands down, its pretty simple to see why people are upset. As a consumer, you should read the fine print, but let's be honest, when you hear something has a feature that you want, you get excited. Verizon customers were particularly excited as this was the first BT phone for their carrier. While Verizon did nothing illegal, it generally a poor business practice to cripple your products and strategically not mention it to client. If I were to conduct research for a client, and not mention that i will not be providing them with a report . . . Well, you can see where that's going.

I think we can all agree that this was not a great move for VZW. They have certainly ticked off a good number of people who have "word-of-mouth credibility." While they most likely won't lose the suit, they will lose in the long run. Unfortunately, if you bought a V710 and you want your money back, you'll probably be left standing with your hands in your pockets.
Still, a terrible business move by VZW. I was going to leave them anyway, but this really does help me make my decision.
