I despise the iPhone, and the company that manufactures it....but based on what I have seen and heard, the 4S actually gets good reception....the number of dropped calls I have experienced while talking to someone on an iPhone has dropped almost 90% since the 4S was released.
It took them 5 attempts, but I think Apple has finally made the PHONE part of the iPhone halfway decent. Not as good as a Nokia or Blackberry....but significantly better than previous iPhones.
