If the model is actually SCH-S310 then it should be for Verizon wireless. All of Verizon wireless samsung phones start with SCH. But it could also go to some other carrier that is on the same type of network.

No, actually Samsung has a whole separate model numbering scheme for its Korean CDMA phones. Here are all the "SCH" models for Korean carriers:
