This is very true. I don't know the actual order of international carrier rankings but I do know that T-Mobile worldwide could buy Cingular without too much trouble.
T-Mobile USA is up against the wall in a few issues. They need more bandwidth to roll out any 3G network and they desperately need to expand their coverage.
They are smart enough to know this. As for revenue growth, voice is not going to do the job. Innovative new data features are where the future revenue growth will occur. I can see Cingular not giving T-Mobile the same preferred roaming agreements now that they own ATTWS. T-Mobile is facing competing without the help that they had before. The fact is that Cingular no longer needs T-Mo now that they own networks in the former roaming markets.
They need more spectrum and they need additional licenses in new markets in order to keep up with the big 3.
