The people who will not benefit from these plans are the ones that use their smartphone to run their laptop, desktop, PS3, XBOX 360, Wii, and their the same time. Guess what: regardless of what you think, that is NOT what cellular data was meant for.

I beg to differ. As far as the gaming systems I can agree with that but Laptop usage and such of the same like is actually what it was meant for. Do you not remember the commercial Verizon ran with the little girl in the airport tethering her network to several different people for a fee? That right there is an advertisement of the many uses of the network. They encouraged this type of usage. So am I to believe that using my network in which I pay for in the exact manner you advertise is not what you meant for me to do?

I use my network to power my laptop because it's cost effective. Saves me a lot more money then dragging around a fios hotspot wireless modem that would cost me and extra $50 to buy on top what ever limited plan that may come with it. Not to mention I still need my phone and every smartphone comes with a mandatory data plan. To the big companies yes it comes down to the bottom line. Well guess what unless you're an idiot that cares not about his/her money it's always about the bottom line company or customer. I save a lot more money going through my phone rather than locking myself into another 2 yr contract with whomever would provide my home with internet service. To a business man the web is vital (as seen in Verizon's commercial). To make me pay extra because you didn't look at every situation from the beginning like a good company should is disgusting. Especially since most people that have been grandfathered in have been loyal customers for YEARS.

This is a despicable way to thank someone for their loyalty.
