You'd have to get the phone unlocked then you would have to call Cingular customer services and get them to help you set up the proper settings. It is possible. Will a Cingular rep tell you it's possible? Not without reprimand.

true, but the rumor is that device will be offered on the cingular side this quarter, and there have been trade-in programs on some of the high-dollar handsets... stands to reason this will likely be one of them. 🙂

I'm sure that Cingular will offer you some type huge discount, especially since that phone was considered one of the high end model phones with ATT Wireless. I am sure that there will be quite a few people purchasing this phone at Cingular and sales will more than likely decrease on the Motorola MPX 220 if they have not already. One of my colleagues has the SMT 5600 and has been hesitant to switch over to a Cingular plan as of yet becuase he likes the phone so much. I'm sure that once CIngular gets this phone, he'll be more likely to switch over from an ATTW plan to a CIngular plan.

No trade in offered....the only PDA type devices being offered for trade in are the Audiovox PPC4100, and the Treo 600...even the Blackberry devices were yanked off....besides the trade in credits are only good through 1/31....sorry...looks like you are gonna have to buy something just like everyone else.... 🙄
