All of these posters high-fiving because the Nextel 800/850 MHz spectrum is being converted to Sprint CDMA & LTE just prove that Sprint needed Nextel way more than Nextel needed Sprint 
Not to mention the additional 1900 MHz that Nextel owned before the merger, and the huge amount of nationwide 2.5 GHz spectrum that Nextel brought to the party and Sprint literally gave away to Clearwire,
Sprint CDMA and eventually LTE customers will benefit a huge amount from all the Nextel resources. A reasonable person would think that those legacy Sprint customers would show at least a small amount of gratitude toward the dying Nextel. Not unlike the native Americans of generations past who always give thanks for the buffalo they killed to survive.
