Will all the iphones sold by boost & virgin count towards the $15+ billion they agreed to pay apple over the next few years or did they have to get deals for each company?

Boost and Virgin are part of the Sprint umbrella, if necessary, Sprint could buy em and sell em to Boost and Virgin if necessary.

So i'm guessing Sprint had this in mind when they made the deal? Looking for proof that Sprint really has a clue, contract is up in september.

Their hand was pushed by Leap (Cricket).
I'm not so sure they really wanted to put a phone subisdized at probably $ 200 a crack on prepaid no contract lines.
That is just inviting customers to join for a month, get the phone and head elsewhere.

With Cricket marketing the iPhone, Sprint will have to match their price or lose a portion of their prepaid customers.

They were bleeding base over the iPhone on contract customers and Apple was effectively going to hurt their prepaid via Leap, so they had to take this route.

They really had no choices here.
