I am not sure if T-Mobile was the first or if Verizon Wireless was the first. VW had OTA sometime in 2002.

The only difference I see between VW's and Sprint's versions of OTA is manual vs. automatic. Sprint is offering automatic updates when they are made available vs. having to remember to manually update the phone.

This article is misleading and false advertisement.
