Why Wasnt the Playstation Vita Developed Further Than It Was.

by MadFatMan    Jun 4, 2012, 11:54 PM

Console manufacturers are losing their flipping minds and bank accounts to the developing trend of mobile gaming.

The Vita could of bridged the gap for Sony. Where the mobile market trend for price of admission for gameplay is $1, $3 & $5 for titles which is a far cry from the $50, $60 & $70 prices of dedicated console gaming.

So, tell me why Sony had to turn to HTC? When they have their own line of mobile hardware portable game systems and Android Smartphones. No knock on HTC as they are a very capable manufacturer of high quality hardware.

i'll tell you what its about. It's about software licensing without the possible loss of hardware. Sony is HUGE about owning the rights to the media be it music, video or software just ask George Michael or Nintendo when they were developing a CD ROM for the Nintendo due to software dispute Nintendo bailed on Sony and hooked up with Phillips. So, Sony pushed forward with their console plans and they put out the Playstation.

I think consumers are tired of Sony in this way and are eager to support original content from the creators.
