Why Wasnt the Playstation Vita Developed Further Than It Was.

Console manufacturers are losing their flipping minds and bank accounts to the developing trend of mobile gaming.

The Vita could of bridged the gap for Sony. Where the mobile market trend for price of admission for gameplay is $1, $3 & $5 for titles which is a far cry from the $50, $60 & $70 prices of dedicated console gaming.

So, tell me why Sony had to turn to HTC? When they have their own line of mobile hardware portable game systems and Android Smartphones. No knock on HTC as they are a very capable manufacturer of high quality hardware.

i'll tell you what its about. It's about software licensing without the possible loss of hardware. Sony is HUGE about owning the rights to the media be it music, video or software just ask Geo...

I believe that they are worried about Microsoft's Xbox Live services and game integration of different platforms, via Windows Phone, Xbox 360 and Windows 8 tablet and PC's. Lets not forget about the main idea here, MS is looking to import services on all mobile platforms, Android and iOS. Microsoft has done a stellar job in the gaming arena and their mobile platform, while not for everyone and in some areas improvement is needed. But with Windows Phone 8, I believe they will be much more of a threat, especially with Nokia marketing the way they have. Its only a matter of time before other OEM's give WP the recognition it deserves.

I am a windows mobile guru (up to version 6.5) the touch pro 2 was my last in a long line of windows mobile phones that I had owned, manipulated, reworked, crashed and re wrote custom ROMS for.

The only reasons I went with the HTC EVO was one it was HTC and I am a fan of their hardware and engineering secondly when I was ready for an upgrade no new windows phones were not availible on my carrier the HTC Arrive was six months from hitting the streets.

Yes, windows mobile Mango has developed into a respectable mobile OS. But my choices have been narrowed to the HTC EVO LTE that is availible now or the pending iPhone 5. Unless Sprint specifically releases a jaw dropping, feature reach windows device from a quality manufacturer.. this wo...
